They're Trying to Kill You

by Trev Turnbow

READING - MAY 17, 2025
Directed by Benjamin McElroy
Vertical Divider
An explosive queer play following Soren and Ivan, two gay men waiting in a clinic to be given a new drug that is supposed to stop the spread of STD's entirely (among other health benefits), and it's made by the government so it's fine right? I mean they're not trying to kill you? Right? Harrowing, hilarious, and deeply moving. They're tying to kill you is about the existential dread of being queer in modern America and the need to carve a space for community and queer voices. Because, let's face it diva. They're trying to kill you.
