July 20-24, 1-5pm | Ages 10-18 | $150

Musical theater incorporates many dance styles from hip hop to ballet. This camp focuses on various dance styles and techniques and works on different dance combos from popular musicals. This year there will be new more challenging combos. Ends with a showcase performance for family members.

More about teacher Megan Becker:
Megan Becker has been dancing and teaching professionally for the past 13 years. She trained with the Hartford Ballet School, Ballet West, Alvin Ailey, and Richmond Ballet to name a few. She was a company member of Spokane Ballet and Katy Hagelin Dance Project. She also danced for an entertainment company in Seattle called Animate Objects. She’s choreographed and taught at highly respected institutions like Seattle Pacific University, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Shoreline Community College, Taproot Theater, Gonzaga University, the Russian Classical Ballet School, Spokane Civic Theater, KDHP, Theater 9/12, and the School of Acrobatics and New Circus. For five years she ran Drybones Artist Collective, an organization that used the arts to explore social justice issues and contribute to other organizations making a difference in the city of Seattle. She also does theater and musical theater professionally. She's also a filmmaker and just recently had one of her films in The Grand Prairie Film Festival. She’s trained and has performed professionally in all styles of dance, but her first love is contemporary and ballet. She recently moved from LA where she was teaching dance and working in film and TV.
